Business Setup in Dubai South
For business setup in Dubai South, one must register as a Free Zone Enterprise and hold a Dubai south business license. Any company, partnership, association, or individual may apply for the registration of a Free Zone Enterprise at DWC.
The first step is to obtain initial approval from the free zone department for initial approval. After approval, one must proceed with the registration and incorporation process. Application review time is approximately 15 working days. Applicants only to lease office space not requested to submit a business plan. Dubai south or DWC Company Registrar is a person in charge of the registration and licensing procedures. The application must be submitted with the non-refundable fee as specified by the authority.
After the application to register a Free zone enterprise (FZE) has been approved and payment of the required share capital (applicable for an LLC) and all other fees have been paid, the Company Registrar will issue the following:

One can set up the following types of companies in Dubai South:
Dubai South Limited Liability Company
- It is a legal entity with its own legal nature
- Liability of shareholders of Limited liability company is limited to the value of the share capital they hold
- A Dubai South-LLC must have Shareholders, Directors, Company Secretary and a General Manager
- The minimum capital requirement for Dubai-LLC’s is AED 300,000 and share value is AED 1.
A Branch of an Overseas Company
- A branch is Representative office of an existing legal entity outside the Dubai South Free Zone
- A branch cannot have a board of directors or a company secretary.
- A branch must have a general manager who is responsible for business activities
- Branch’s name must end with the designation [Branch]
- Name of the branch is same as the name of its parent company
